Our minister recently did a talk about A Season of Peace and that we already have it and it is ours to claim. He quoted Martha Smock one of the great Unity leaders of days gone by.
If there is only one person with whom you are not at peace, then you have a work to do, and the work begins with you- - in your thoughts and feelings, in your reactions. Peace of mind is not something you achieve when everything is perfect, when things have been worked out happily; peace of mind is something that oftentimes precedes the solving of the problem.
Here is a link to the complete talk on a Season of Peace. The talk starts about minute 34.

My favorite part of his talk was when he asked us to image a day without complaint. Toward the end of his talk he went on to share the thoughts of Will Bowen who has been on Oprah to help people stop complaining. Here is a video by Will Bowen explaining how to stop complaining. You can find many more videos by Will on YouTube.

Our minister even gave out the rubber bracelets to help us stop complaining and take the 21-day challenge that Will Bowen talked about in his video.
I still have the bracelet on. I have not made it 21 days yet but it is a good way to remain conscious of when we complain. As Will said the idea is to get the mind and the body working together.
Remember...there is no shame in day one.
